Practice rooms are open! Click here for the practice room schedule, or through 'BYU Dancers' on the main menu of the site. It is very important that when you go to practice you do the following: Reserve a practice time by adding your name(s) to the form. One name per slot. Check the tabs at the bottom for additional week days. If you need to cancel your practice reservation, please remove your names as soon as possible to allow others to have the opportunity You must wear your face masks AT ALL TIMES. NEVER exceed the room capacity listed for each room. Make sure to sanitize all areas that you have touched during your practice with the provided sanitation wipes located in all the practice rooms when you are finished Only practice in rooms that are scheduled for student practice. ZERO practicing in the Wilkinson Center, thank you! Please remember that we are privileged to be practicing on campus. If we do not adhere to the protocols that BYU has established for us that privilege will be taken away. You must wear masks and you must ONLY practice in the assigned rooms for Ballroom practice. Welcome back everyone! We will be conducting in person auditions for all International Gold level classes this Fall with the following IMPORTANT changes: Men and women will audition separately. We will audition all men Monday August 31st, and all women Wednesday Sept. 2. Please only come on the day you are assigned. If you have previously taken a BYU International class, be prepared to dance that syllabus class routine (listed below). For example, if you took Silver Latin last Winter 2020, you should plan to dance your Silver Rumba routine for the Gold I Latin Rumba audition. Gold I Latin (Silver or Gold I Rumba) Gold II Latin (Gold I or Gold II Samba) Gold Bar Latin (Gold II or Gold Bar Samba) Gold I Ballroom (Silver or Gold I Waltz) Gold II Ballroom (Gold I or Gold II Waltz) Gold Bar Ballroom (Gold II or Gold Bar Foxtrot). If you have never taken a BYU International class or are an incoming freshman, you may put together a combination of three or four syllabus figures to demonstrate. As we will need to see about 30-40 seconds from your audition, you may want to simply loop the routine to continue dancing. Please attend only the classes you are auditioning for.
